Hopefully you did not miss last Friday’s BNS Screen on the Green/Family Film Festival. It was a fantastic evening that included gorgeous early fall weather, delicious food, time well spent with friends and family, and of course, a movie under the stars. This year’s event coincided with the Bannockburn Community’s C70th Anniversary weekend, offering the chance to reunite with neighbors old and new from near and far.
My top ten 2016 Screen on the Green/Family Film Festival moments:
10. Awesome Zoo themed raffle basket
9. Delicious food truck BBQ and Potomac Pizza
8. Glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces worn by all
7. Fresh movie popcorn (and lots of refills!)
6. Instant preschool playdate on the back BNS playground
5. Catching up with friends, including current and former families,
friends and neighbors
4. Amazing bake sale treats including cake pops, cupcakes, cookies and brownies
3. Getting to hang out with our fabulous teachers and staff
2. Fantastic performance by BNS favorite John Henry (“The Guitar Playing Man!”)
1. Watching Zootopia under the stars!
